Bio

I am a Licensed Creative Art Therapist (LCAT) and a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), providing psychotherapy in New York City. In my private practice, I work with people from diverse backgrounds, including many in creative fields, as well as adolescents and children.

In my experience, the most important aspect of therapy isn’t the specific approach, but providing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves freely and can build a trusting therapeutic relationship. As an immigrant woman and artist, I bring a deep appreciation for the tension between sameness and difference, which helps me attune to the complex identities and inner challenges my clients navigate—especially those shaped by cultural transition and personal transformation.

I began my professional journey as an artist and then as an art therapist with children. Through this work, I gained a deep understanding of child development and the lasting impact of childhood trauma on emotional, psychological, and physical well-being, which continues to inform and enrich my work with adults.

I dedicated 14 years to working with culturally diverse and predominantly marginalized communities, supporting individuals through social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in both educational and mental health clinic settings, before transitioning into private practice My clinical experience includes treating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, and providing parenting support. Additionally I have been providing clinical supervision to graduate art therapy students. I have post-graduate training in trauma informed care, loss and bereavement and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and remain committed to deepening my practice by engaging in ongoing training and education opportunities.
