Bio
I am a Licensed Creative Art Therapist (LCAT) and a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), providing psychotherapy in New York City. I began my professional journey as an artist and then as an art therapist with children. Through this work, I gained a deep understanding of child development and the lasting impact of childhood trauma on emotional, psychological, and physical well-being, which continues to inform and enrich my work with adults. I dedicated 14 years to working with culturally diverse and predominantly marginalized communities, supporting individuals through social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in both educational and mental health clinic settings, before transitioning into private practice. My clinical experience includes treating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, and providing parenting support. Additionally I have been providing clinical supervision to graduate art therapy students. I have post-graduate training in trauma informed care, loss and bereavement and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and remain committed to deepening my practice by engaging in ongoing training and education opportunities.
